Gundersen: “We’re getting studies out of the Cascades, all the way down into Southern California, where we’re seeing cesium in pine needles, cesium in the ground up in Oregon and up in Vancouver. Not a lot. I guess my biggest concern is bioaccumulation, it works its way up the food chain.”~ From a radio interview with Arnie Gundersen by KGO Radio’s Pat Thurston, 4-15-2012 “There is no longer any such thing as clean and safe food” after radiation from Fukushima spread around planet. ~ Kyoto nuclear professor (link includes video) “But nuclear waste experts say the Japanese are literally playing with fire in the way nuclear spent fuel continues to be stored onsite, especially in reactor 4, which contains the most irradiated fuel ~ 10 times the deadly cesium-137 released during the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident. These experts also charge that the NRC is letting this threat fester because acknowledging it would call into question safety at dozens of identically designed nuclear power plants around the U.S., which contain exceedingly higher volumes of spent fuel in similar elevated pools outside of reinforced containment.”

~ The Worst Yet to Come? Why Nuclear Experts Are Calling Fukushima a Ticking Time-Bomb by Brad Johnson Based on what we’ve seen in areas and among populations where radiation exposure has been notably higher than the global norm ~ within hundreds of square miles around Chernobyl, for instance, and in areas with heavy DU contamination inside Iraq and elsewhere, for another ~ I consider the following scenario not merely possible but perhaps likely. How likely? Good question.

Even the 2012 cartoon mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, have the notion of surveillance built into their design. Wenlock and Mandeville are two slightly different-shaped silver blobs, meant to be drops of steel taken “from the last huge girder of the Olympic Stadium.” Each of their faces is taken up entirely by a single eye, which is meant to be a camera lens. The packaging for the plush-toy versions of both figures explains, “My single eye is like a camera letting me record everything I see.” (locog has also licensed toy versions of London bobbies and Buckingham Palace guards with camera lenses for faces.) Is the idea of giving children a surveillance toy, I asked Johnson, just a little creepy? “Are you referring to Mandeville and Wenlock?” the mayor replied. “The thing that children up and down the country, indeed across the planet, are crying out to their parents to buy them for Christmas? Are you referring to our national icons as creepy? I think that’s—they will be, if they are not already, as cherished and as sought-after as—uh … Schtroumpfs. Or Smurfs. They are the Schtroumpfs du jour. They will be infinitely collectible. What to you is a creepy, monocular, Cyclopean android-type thing is to many children a lovable, hilarious, uh, individual—that will comfort them at night.”

Readers can Google terms such as “Yoweri Museveni and Congo genocide,” “Museveni and Kony,” “Museveni and and Rwanda genocide,” “Museveni and Acholi genocide,” and “U.S. support for dictator Museveni.” On that basis, this isn’t an effective campaign for the people of Uganda. The ends that’s suggested is one of building up American military involvement and the capacity of the Ugandan military, who have their own human rights record. Lets not line up behind that. Uganda has Copper, Cobalt, Uranium, Gold, Tin, Magnesium plus more exotic rare earth elements.

Today, US Africa Command, known as AFRICOM, is spreading across Africa in the footsteps of Cecil Rhodes. As reported by allAfrica.com, Vice Admiral Moeller at an AFRICOM meeting held at Fort McNair on February 18, 2008 would declare that protecting “the free flow of natural resources from Africa to the global market” was one of AFRICOM’s guiding principles. Of course by “global market,” the admiral means the Fortune 500 corporations of Wall Street and London.

Most importantly, how long are people going to allow themselves to be lied to, their intelligence insulted, before they decide to speak out, and commit to sanctioning with boycotts the corporations driving this agenda? There was no widespread killing in Syria before the US State Department, John McCain’s International Republican Institute, and the National Endowment for Democracy trained, funded, and directed the unrest back in early 2011. Along every step of the way, instability, chaos and death in Syria has been the result of the West propping up these terrorists and perpetuating the deadly conflict as Syria’s government attempts to restore order. With lies, atrocities, and open acts of war the West seeks to complete their predetermined regime change before turning their deceitful war-machine toward Tehran. But as the facade crumbles, they do so as a naked act of military aggression, as Hitlerian invaders, not hallowed liberators - their crimes, committed before the eyes of an awakening world, will echo through history.

Black March Message (by StupidButCunning)

How about it guys, before the next generation ends up even dumber, how about we examine more than just other nations’ sins and look in the mirror. You do remember school don’t you?, when the teacher said Socrates was a part of the foundations of out ‘intellectualism’… well he said “an unexamined life is not worth living”… I won’t be so harsh… But for God’s sake, start examining, our society is falling apart. Stop the wars. Once we’ve stopped brawling like drunken idiots and gangsters, perhaps then we can do something to enrich our lives and those of our grandchildren to come. The following extract is a part of the funeral oratory ofThucydides, upon the death of Pericles. Apparently those that founded democracy, had these notions. “An Athenian citizen does not neglect the state because he is committed to his own affairs; and even those of us who are preoccupied with commerce have a very fair idea of politics. We alone, of the peoples of the world, regard a man who takes no interest in public affairs, not as a harmless person, but as a useless character. And, even if few of us are original thinkers and initiators, we are all sound judges of policy.”

The number of Syrian citizens appealing to to their president for intervention of government forces is very high. This is especially true in Homs, where the situation is alarming because large sections of the population are held hostage by these groups occupying entire areas of the city — the neighborhoods of Baba Amr, Khaldiyeh, Karm el-Zeytoun — where the people have been calling for months for Damascus to rescue them.2 Their fate has become even more a source of anxiety since the same Milan anti-tank missile launchers delivered to the Libyan rebels during the Libyan campaign, less than a year ago, by France and Qatar, began to be used. We can remember how at the time Sarkozy and Bernard Henry Levy misled public opinion by putting the blame on forces loyal to Gaddafi for the use of these Milan missiles, which were taking a heavy toll on the people. This is the same disturbing scenario repeating itself in Syria. Politicians, journalists and NGOs are once again taking a firm stand concerning the war, provoked by groups exploited by foreign powers. They attribute to the government forces, as was done in Libya and without proper inspection, the acts of barbarism perpetrated by the armed ‘opponents’ who are terrorizing the majority of the population. For three weeks correspondents have been repeating that Homs has been unilaterally shelled by the Syrian army. On the contrary, the loyalist contingents attacked by the Milan missiles have suffered heavy losses since the beginning of their intervention. It is not clear whether the authorities in Damascus will be able to dislodge these groups with heavy weaponry from all quarters of the city.
